The Alyansa ng mga Benepisyaryo sa Repormang Agraryo ng Capiz (ABRAC) is a peasant federation of 11 agrarian reform beneficiaries cooperatives and associations in the 4 municipalities of the province of Capiz: Cuartero, Dumalag, Pontevedra, and Pres. Roxas.
ABRAC envisions a rural community where there is social justice, peace, freedom, and democracy, where people have control of the means of production, live in decent and humane condition, as viable, vibrant, productive, and proactive partners towards building sustainable integrated rural communities.
Born of PAKISAMA member ESMAC, ABRAC aspires to become a strong local center of all peasant-led development initiatives promoting the implementation of genuine agrarian reform and rural development and sustainable integrated area base programs and projects responding to the needs and concerns of the rural poor and agrarian reform beneficiaries.
The federation seeks to achieve the sustainable use of available local resources, so that rural communities enjoy household food security, increased income, and better quality of life; the completion of the agrarian reform program's implementation, so that the people will have full access to or control of the land, the very resources they live with; and broadening, consolidating and strengthening the federation through continuous training and organizing of all leaders and members, for the positive realization of its intermediate and ultimate goals.
ABRAC has slated programs concerning inter-coop trading/merchandising, members financial facility, agricultural service facility, and members social security. Its office is located at the 2nd Floor of Alovera Apt., San Roque St., Roxas City, Capiz.
