Katin-Aran Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KAMPI)

Born of PAKISAMA member KASIHA, the Katin-Aran Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KAMPI) is a provincial primary cooperative of 895 members from 36 cooperatives and associations in 28 barangays in the 8 municipalities of the 2nd district of the province of Iloilo. These are: Alimodian, Banate, Barotac Nuevo, Cabatuan, Leganes, Leon, Pavia, San Miguel, and Sta. Barbara. KAMPI was registered with the CDA on January 2, 1989.

KAMPI envisions a strong, progressive, viable KAMPI, committed and responsive to the needs of its members to achieve total human development towards productivity and self-sufficiency. It has committed itself to serve its members in attaining their development, towards socio-economic, political, and spiritual sustainability.

The cooperative intends to: develop the habit of thrift among its members; educate its members about cooperation; promote unity and brotherhood; and help improve the socio-political, spiritual, and economic condition of its members through continuous education, social credit, Bible literacy, and sustainable agriculture practices through integrated diversified organic farming systems. Currently, it carries out programs on savings and micro-lending.
