The Christian Village Farmers Primary Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Inc. (CVFMPCI) is a multi-purpose cooperative of 155 members founded on May 15, 1991 in Brgy. Christian Village, Wao, Lanao del Sur, when farmers sought and received financial assistance in the form of farm capital from the Land Bank in 1991. Currently, it comprises Christian Village, Extension Wao, Middle Village, and Brgys. Banga and Eastern.
Registered with the CDA on July 10, 1991, CVMPCI envisions a sustainable and viable cooperative that is supportive of Philippines 2000 and beyond, managed by officers who are God-fearing as well as service- and business-oriented, in order to uplift and develop the spiritual, social, economic, political, and ecological life and become morally upright individuals in the community. It has consequently vowed to conduct and initiate activities towards these ends.
CVMPCI has been engaged in programs such as swine raising, and Gintong Ani. A member of PAKISAMA since 1994, it has since availed of the latter's training assistance and its seminars. Currently, it is operating a consumer store, aside from lending programs for agricultural production, and for providential purposes.
Aside from PAKISAMA and the local government unit, CVMPCI is also connected with the Land Bank of the Philippines Integrated Rural Financing Development Assistance Program. The municipal government of Wao recognized the cooperative as the best in its municipality in 1998, 2000, 2001, and 2002.
Its office is located in Christian Village, Wao, Lanao del Sur, where farming (of corn, rice, and coffee), business, and employment are the main sources of livelihood.
