The LTO-Nederland is the national federation that binds regional and professional organizations from the agricultural and horticultural fields whose main constituency comes from the growers, livestock farmers and arable farmers.  It was founded in 1995 and aims to promote the interest of its affiliates in the social and economic aspects.

 

At present, the LTO is composed of six (6) regional horticultural organizations and eight (8) sectoral groups which are the beef cattle, poultry, hogs, glasshouse horticulture, flower bulbs, arable farming and dairy farming sectors.

Currently, the LTO has 65,000 members, which represents 75% of all activities in agricultural and horticultural sectors in the country.

 

The LTO is a co-founder of the solidarity group - the Agriterra.
